מכוני מחקר באוניברסיטת תל אביב
אוניברסיטת תל אביב היא אוניברסיטת המחקר הגדולה בישראל. היא מורכבת מ-9 פקולטות, 27 בתי ספר, 98 מחלקות ו-130 מכוני מחקר. על 2,200 חברי הסגל שלה נמנים מדענים בעלי שם עולמי אשר תרמו תרומה משמעותית בכל תחומי המדע והדעת בהם חקר המוח, פיזיקת חלקיקים, ביולוגיה תאית, ביוטכנולוגיה, גנטיקה ועוד.
אוניברסיטת תל אביב מחזיקה במחשב-העל הגדול ביותר בישראל והמצפה האסטרונומי היחיד במזרח התיכון - המצפה האסטרונומי ע"ש וייז במצפה רמון. המכון לחקר הדגנים סיפק בעבר וממשיך לספק זנים משופרים של זרעים למדינות בכל רחבי העולם. מכוני המחקר של אוניברסיטת תל אביב מאפשרים מחקר בינתחומי מצוין בשלל תחומים כגון לימודי הסביבה, ננוטכנולוגיה, ביואינפורמטיקה, מחקר אנרגיה ולימודי תרבות.
